How it works

  1. Create your accountAnyone 13 or older can sign up as a learner. Your T3 Action account is a Remote Hands account, so one sign-in works for both.
  2. Join a cohortA cohort is a small group led by a trainer, like a class, a club or a community group. Your trainer invites you by email.
  3. Practice and show your workWork through the training with your group. When you are ready, upload your evidence: a photo, a file, a short write-up, or a certificate from a training organization.
  4. Earn the badgeYour trainer looks at your evidence and approves the badge. A badge from a training organization shows that organization's name. It stays with you as a record of what you can do.
  5. Keep goingEarn more badges, help others learn, and become a trainer yourself. Some badges also lead to paid technology work in your community.

About your account

Your T3 Action account is a Remote Hands account. Remote Hands is an Alaska company that runs the platform T3 Action uses for accounts, cohorts and badges. You sign in once and see your T3 trainings and badges. If you ever want to do paid technology work, the same account works in the Remote Hands app.

Questions

Do I have to work for Remote Hands?
No. Anyone 13 or older can be a T3 Action learner. Your account is a Remote Hands account because T3 Action runs on the Remote Hands platform, but you do not have to do paid work.
I already have a Remote Hands account. Do I need a new one?
No. Sign in with the account you have.
How do I join a cohort?
Your trainer invites you by email. If your school, club or community does not have a trainer yet, tell them about T3 Action, or ask us.
I already have a certificate, like a CPR card. Does it count?
If it comes from an approved training organization, yes. Upload the certificate, and the badge shows which organization issued it.
Who decides if I earned a badge?
Your trainer. They look at the evidence you uploaded and approve the badge, or tell you what to work on.
